The Distribute Surveys workspace is where survey participants can be added, surveys can be distributed, survey reminders can be sent and survey responses can be tracked. Also, mesages can be sent to survey participants using Email Templates.
In Spark Chart, surveys can be distributed in two main ways.
- Surveys links can be assigned to specific individual participants and typically distributed via email. Only one survey may be completed for each participant survey link.
- Survey links (Satellites) can be created and shared with others either via email or posted on websites, Intranets or social media. Multiple surveys may be completed from a single Satellite link.
Distribute surveys to individual Participants
Participants are the people who are added to the project with the intention of them completing the survey. The participants workspace lists all the participants in the project. Participants can be invited to complete the survey and their survey completion status can be viewed. Here, participants may be added, edited and deleted.
The participants menu contains tags showing participants according to the survey completion status, i.e. Not started, In progress and Completed. Additional tags can be created to group and manage Participants. Tags are optional. Participants may have more than one tag.
Distribute surveys to multiple people via Satellites
A Satellite is a unique record with a link to the survey that can be shared. A satellite allows multiple surveys to be completed from the one link. Clicking on a satellite link allows a person to register in a project either anonymously or with their personal details. As people register from a satellite they become participants in the project and they are added to the list of participants.
Satellites have multiple uses, including for surveys on websites, Intranet and Social Media. Additionally, a Satellite may be useful when a person wishes to personally distribute surveys or in situations where target respondents and their email addresses are not known.
