Contacts are a way for you to store the details about participants who might be regular participants in your surveys. Adding new contacts can be done via two main methods: manually adding contact details or importing in a list of contacts using a CSV file. Note: Any changes made to a contact will not be reflected in an already launched project.
Adding Contacts Manually
Contacts can be added manually by clicking on the "+New Contact" button at the top right of the screen. You will be taken to the "Add Contact" screen where you can fill in the information about the contact. The only mandatory fields are the first name and email address of the contact.
Once you fill in the desired fields you can either "Save" to exit back out to the Contacts page, "Save & Add Another" to add another contact or "Cancel" to discard all content.
Importing Contacts Using a CSV File
If you already have your contacts saved elsewhere, it is possible to avoid manually filling in their details into Spark Chart by importing their details in via a CSV file.
Step 1. Select the CSV file
Select the CSV file to import from your computer. You can also select your delimiter type, in case it isn't a comma.
Step 2. Assign Fields
Each column has the option to be imported. You can select what type data each column contains
Step 3. Preview of Import & Other Options
Finally, check the data being imported to confirm it is correct. From here you can select other options such as skipping the first row of the import and setting default information such as the organisation the contacts work in.
If you import in a contact that already exists it will not create a duplicate. However projects allow duplicated participants.
